About me

Hi everyone! I am Konstantin, Associate Professor at the Center for Planetary Habitability (PHAB) at the University of Oslo (since 01/2025).

For the past years I have been a Privatdozent at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel and a researcher at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Berlin (07/2024 -12/2024).

My expertises are on the numerical computation of cool star astrospheres, the transport of charged particles in astrospheric and planetary magnetic fields, and the planetary secondary particle regime induced by high- and low-energetic cosmic ray particles. The latter includes, for example, the reconstruction of Neutron Monitor count rates over decades and the reconstruction of cosmogenic radionuclide production rates (e.g., 10Be, 14C, and 36Cl) over thousands of years. My research further interests the long-term reconstruction of the solar activity over thousands of years and the radiation and particle environment of (Earth-like) exoplanets around cools stars and its impact on the (exo)planetary climate, chemistry, biosinatures, and thus (exo)planetary habitability.

I am also part of the PLATO Mission Consortium and a LIFE mission team member.
