Hi everyone! I am Konstantin, Associate Professor at the Center for Planetary Habitability (PHAB) at the University of Oslo (since 01/2025).

For the past years I have been a Privatdozent at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel and a researcher at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Berlin (07/2024 -12/2024).

My expertises are on the numerical computation of cool star astrospheres, the transport of charged particles in astrospheric and planetary magnetic fields, and the planetary secondary particle regime induced by high- and low-energetic cosmic ray particles. The latter includes, for example, the reconstruction of Neutron Monitor count rates over decades and the reconstruction of cosmogenic radionuclide production rates (e.g., ¹⁰Be, ¹⁴C, and ³⁶Cl) over thousands of years. My research further interests the long-term reconstruction of the solar activity over thousands of years and the radiation and particle environment of (Earth-like) exoplanets around cools stars and its impact on the (exo)planetary climate, chemistry, biosinatures, and thus (exo)planetary habitability.

I am also part of the PLATO Mission Consortium and a LIFE mission team member.
